Little C was simply thrilled when this new addition didn't greet him with an overwhelming lick to the face - as his former housemate had been so fond of.
Somehow that little brown haired, olive toned baby turned into this - Quite a different version than was to be expected - but a keeper nonetheless.
So baby turns one - 
and the party begins.
The discovery of the day - birthday boy doesn't seem to be a fan of his cake or getting dirty -which older brother thinks is totally hilarious -

and the party pooper is no more.
Presents are opened and BSU jerseys adorned - 
and as long as cake is out of the picture - it seems as if we have a happy one year old on our hands. (Notice the spoilage from the Papa - not only birthday boys get presents -Little C is sporting new apparel as well).
NOW - the moment you have all been waiting for! Really - probably not -but here we go anyway - the following visual is not for the faint of heart.

The Baby was a little more difficult to get into this world than we had expected and was finally delivered C-section. The Beloved Spouse mistook this as a photo opportunity - but, on the bright side - at least now we will always treasure the photo of my uterus sitting atop my stomach. Ahhh... how sentimental - or maybe just disgusting.

Okay, so I do have to say that last picture is a bit disturbing...Eric would have taken a pic too and then proceeded to blog in length about it. I used to think that Keira was the only 1 year old that didn't dive into her cake and get all messy. I have a pic of Keira crying when I put frosting on her nose. Anyway, Happy One year birthday.

I love the uterus picture!!! Jeremy said mine looked just like it did in the textbooks, but I've never seen one, so thanks for posting :) Happy Birthday to your baby!
Ok I'm still sitting here looking at that lovely uterus. I don't understand? That doesn't even look like a body!? haha I might stare a while longer and then I will give up:) thanks for the picture to brighten my day! And pretty sure Dash is the cutest thing ever!!!!
Love the "TURKEY" hanging outside the belly...too funny. My baby girl (who is acutally 2 in a few) said "baby,..baby", she seemed to know what was in there.
