Figuring Out Summer

So, this man of mine started out our summer by participating in his first Ragnar race (click here to read an article he wrote about preparing for Ragnar). This may not be at the top of someone's list who had just had thyroid cancer and had their whole thyroid removed, but The Beloved isn't just someone. He trained hard everyday with no excuses and ran a total of 18 miles. Incredible job, Dear!

The next two weeks we tried to figure out summer life in Utah which came pretty easily. We had smores parties at Grandma and Grandpa's, we made homemade strawberry lemonade with our very own strawberries and then had a super incredible lemonade stand, Moo attended a fun little basketball camp, Little C went to a UVU basketball camp, we tried to find a place nearby to experience Utah lake... but failed and mostly skipped rocks which was still cool,  and we took selfies because what would life be without a good selfie?

Next up - road trip!!!

The Beloved's welcome home banner!

Here are the kids and a few extra neighbor kids designing the sign.

Smores!
Now, this is summer.

Ruckus made most of the strawberry lemonade by himself. Isn't he fantastic?!

Moo with his basketball camp group. He's in the second row at the bottom with his paper mostly covering his face.
 Utah Lake -
we haven't found much to do in it, but it sure is beautiful.

Look at these precious selfies I found on my phone.

 Road trip Time!!!

Lou the Performer

This kid gets sick to his stomach every time he's about to perform on stage, but that doesn't stop him from putting on a show. If there's a talent show, he'll try out. If there's a choir, he'll join. If the director needs a solo or a dance number, he'll volunteer.  And since he's super smart, if there's a competition to see who's learned the most about Utah history (even though he hasn't even been a Utah resident for a year) he'll throw down. You gotta love him.

He's all dressed up for his line dance!

He's playing the part of the Peach Crayon from the book, The Days the Crayons Quit.

He's in the dance/singing group on the left hand side.

Debating his answer for the questions in the Utah History Competition.

My soon to be daughter-in-law took our photos Fall of last year. Isn't she talented? We are looking forward to including her in our fami...
