Farewell

Ruckus has had a life long love affair with his binky.
Life. Long.
We knew that in order to get this rubber creature out of his life FOREVER we had to do something big and dramatic.
So, we had a Farewell Binky Party/Funeral.

Ruckus blowing out the candle in his Mac &Cheese while we sing , "Goodbye Binky Party to You"

Little C doing the Prep work in the backyard.

Ruckus threw his binkies - one by one - into the box that was  placed in the  hole Little C dug.

The Beloved and Little C filling in the "binky grave"

Lou lending some affectionate brotherly support.

And.... so far so good.
Ruckus was so excited to be a big boy! That night he kept proclaiming to his brothers, "Hey Guys, I'm a big boy now. I'm a big boy!"
Hopefully this will lead us swiftly into the transition of potty training. :)
Way to go Ruckus! We are proud of you!

Made me Laugh -

If you know The Beloved well you know he teases relentlessly.
R-e-l-e-n-t-l-e-s-s-l-y.
To tease shows he enjoys you; his own little unique love language.
But, sometimes the language of The Beloved's love gets a tad bit overwhelming. Especially when directed at his offspring.
Here is a scripture I found while preparing for my YW lesson today:
Ephesians 6:1-4
Children obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2. Honour they father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)
3. That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
4. And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

The Beloved IS a nurturer and DOES follow the admonition of the Lord - but he provoketh my friends
He provoketh.
:)
Made me laugh.

Count Down Is On!

jlk
Elder Fultray -
We are so excited for your return but more importantly,
we are so impressed with the dedicated, valiant service you've been providing the Lord.
We love you!
P.S. When we were reminding Lou and Ruckus about who you were and that you're Daddy's brother they were kind of impressed. But when we mentioned you were Uncle Jake's brother too -
You're coolness status went up a ton!
:)
I mean, jumping up and down, hollering for joy delight!

Easter 2012

Did you know the Easter Bunny was this cute?
Every year my dad puts on an Easter Egg Hunt for the grand kids and for the adults...
So fun!
Do you see the squirrel on the swing checking out all of the spoils?
"Younger" Grand Kids on their Hunt:
Ruckus running his little "get me an egg" heart out.

Lou rollin' in the eggs.

Cousin G putting up a fierce competition.

Cousin M was give the option of going with the younger or older group.  Smart kid opted for the younger :).

Adult Easter Egg Hunt -
And - here's the hair as promised:
Searching....

Still searching...
Looks like a good, clean Easter egg Hunt for a moment -
But watch out or you could end up like Sister #1. :)

The Beloved snagging an egg out of the tree.
Did I  mention there's money in the eggs?
You gotta be quick my friend.

We were all victorious - though The Beloved collected the most cash flow. But, I've mentioned that he wins at everything  right? So -  big surprise there.

The "Older" Grand Kids Easter Egg Hunt:
Get Ready, Get Set,
Go!

Little C getting down to business with Cousin NJ in the background.

Cousin H making a killing.

Cousin B (who's 12) has no trouble finding eggs high or low.
He's taller than me now and is a little too happy about it :).

Parentals, thank you for the holiday fun! Not sure why we didn't get any snapshots of you - but know that you are loved!
Loved, Loved, Loved!

What if the Easter Bunny is really just Spider-man with Bunny ears?
Ruckus totally digs that idea.

The Boys in their Easter apparel:
Boys are fun to dress up too :)

Happy Easter!
I am so thankful for our Savior and the price he was willing to pay for our sins.
It is so very humbling.
How blessed we are to have such a loving Brother and Heavenly Father.

The Party Keeps on Going....

The Beloved flew home from Sister #2's house and I drove back to Sister #3's for her grand company during my travels home.
The HAPPY babies - before they realize what they've gotten themselves into.

The Happy boys - until they also realize what they've gotten themselves into:)
20 + hours later (due to numerous, numerous, numerous stops:) -
we made it!
And Sister #1 couldn't stay away from the action:
Me, Sister #1, and Sister #3
Sister #3 preparing dinner by tenderizing meat with hammer. Scary.....

Sister #1 loving on the babies
I guess I started feeling out of place around these dark haired beauties - so Sister #1 helped me out.
I'm pretty sure my boobs are saggy but not big enough to stand out that badly.  Promise. But Yuck.

Playing cards with the fam. Aren't I a Beaut?

There are probably better ways to entertain ourselves.. but  we couldn't just throw away the left overs.

Lou with  dye in the front of his hair. He's excited!
After picture to come later. :)

What is this?

Oh... I see.
It was love at first sight... or maybe first taste.
Naughty Aunty.
She just received favorite aunt status. :)

Yo sisters - I love you all!
Thanks for being radical in oh so many ways!

P.S. I don't know if any of our dear relatives took time out of their morning to go to breakfast with Sister #3 and I - but if so... I am sorry we weren't there. We were at some Denny's restaurant about half an hour late, in SLC.
Not being part of the F.B. world I wasn't sure what the exact agreed upon location was and my lack of punctuality issues were ever so present. In the next life I'll be a better date :)
