I must say - I love my dad -

I am sure life was quite different from the household he had envisioned when he was growing up.
But, we had a ball - and still do.

He provided his little girls with the perfect balance -
He would dance with us around the living room, let us comb his hair, yet made sure he taught us how to clean a fish - throw a baseball - and to enjoy watching college sports.
I have never seen my dad do anything dishonest or unkind, except for maybe that one time he told my sister and I, after a very long trip, that no one would ever want to marry us. :)
Yes, we were being that obnoxious :). Oh, I love him.
One man described my father to me this way,
"Your dad, he's just one of the good guys. Ya know?"
Yep, I know. One of the best.
He gives the most beautiful father's blessings in the world and shows his testimony of Jesus Christ through his example. He has a collection of all sorts of odd friends :)
because he takes the time to listen to their stories, possibly their complaints, and then caters to their needs.
You can never leave my dad's company without him giving you something.
Some perfect goody or memento that he just knows you need.
He's a nurturer.
The other day my parents had on classical music in their house and I peeked around the corner to see my father doing slow motion karate moves in beat to the music with my 3 oldest boys.
He loves my mom.
Which may sound silly, but I've always known my parents were sweethearts - which is such a comfort to a child.
A couple of weeks ago I dropped my mom off at their house and witnessed her finding a little love note my dad had left for her.
I am so blessed to have such wonderful men in my life!
Before I married The Beloved I made a list of qualities I wanted my future spouse to consist of.
Many of those traits listed came from the example of my father.
And I couldn't be happier with the result:
