Disneyland 2019

Before the world fell to pot we hit up Disneyland, Universal Studios and Sea World for Christmas 2019. We told the kids we were going to San Diego for Christmas to visit The Beloved's sister and her fam... which we did, just not the whole time. :)
We drove to Las Vegas on Christmas Eve and met our friends, the Onishi's, for dinner at Macaroni Grill. It was lovely. We stayed in Vegas that night and in the morning our kids woke up to the news that we were going to Disneyland for Christmas. It was such a fun surprise. We checked into our hotel later that day and had a fabulous dinner...somewhere (sorry, should have blogged about this two years ago.) We slept soundly that night until Moo barfed all over the hotel floor. The good news is, he felt amazing by the morning and we were able to party. We hit up California Adventure first, then Disneyland the following day, drove to Universal the third, headed to San Diego the next to spend some time on the beach with the Northcutt's and to go to the temple, and the last day we enjoyed Sea World.
P.S. Sea World is my favorite. Great rides, better food, cheaper food, plus animals.
What's sad about this adventure is what I remember most is Moo barfing and also the amazing mother's lounge at Disneyland. I felt like mother royalty. I wanted to live there for a moment. Hilarious. That's mom life. Love these peeps. Love spending time with them.

Halloween 2021

We love when Halloween is celebrated for two days! Our kids trick-or- treated on Saturday night and then The Beloved took Moo, Sweetrotten and Coco to the BYU football game with Grandpa Patton. They all wore furry costumes to the game including The Beloved who adorned his Tigger costume. (Warning, IF my kids become bigger BYU fans than BSU fans we are moving back to Idaho. Like, I don't even care. We're out.) Sweetrotten cheered her little heart out at the game and loved watching the cheerleaders and the Cougarettes. She loved learning that Grandma Patton used to be a Cougarette. Earlier in the night I took the kids trick-or-treating while The Beloved passed out candy. Bear thought riding in the wagon was pretty cool and laid down in it, nibbling on his candy. He also really liked to pull the wagon which slowed things down a bit but he was so adorable. Lou and Ruckus hung out with friends and I never got a picture of Ruckus' costume so he's grounded. ;) Little C is away at college but he sent me a photo of him in his construction costume getup. Thanks pal. Bear and I ended the evening watching the BSU game at my sister's house. I will indoctrinate him properly.

On Sunday we had the Patton's over for Halloween dinner. It was lovely except, lame part number one - I took pictures of the incredible food but not the incredible people. Lame part number two - Bear really wanted to go home to live with Uncle Jake. :)

Bear's ready to party!

Moo is "Old Janet" - a character he created! He cracks us up!

Sweetrotten is a skeleton pirate

Little C - our construction worker

Coco LOVES this little boy. Loves. They have big plans for their future and they've already kissed twice. They've promised not to kiss anymore though. (Oh my. :)

Looking good Lou

Bear really likes to walk around with the candy cauldron on his head

Lou drew this for our Halloween party. He's got the talent too!

The Beloved's creation. It was soup night and this monster couldn't hold down the soup.
