Summer Passport #5 - Old Penitentiary

I'd toured the Old Penitentiary before, but the eeriness of it never gets old. The offspring were partially terrified/intrigued. We found a picture of an inmate sporting Ruckus' name, tattooed on his body. He was so bugged, especially when I couldn't get my immature self to stop laughing.
The kids roamed around the joint (Ha! that's a pun) and kept smiling in all of the pictures, which is normal but felt weird. I finally said, "You probably shouldn't look this happy to be in jail, let's work on looking sad instead."  In the last picture they pulled it off.  :)

Little C was very willing and excited to take this picture. :)

We hate being in jail!

Roundy/Patton Cabin Camp-out Post #3

A few last memories of the cabin:

Snuggle bugs on the couch.

Beating the boys at Canasta! We'll never tell our secret of success!

Best pals.

On our way out of town we stopped at a park to eat our packed lunches and get some energy out.

Here are some perfect photos of our Sweetrotten's flip personality:

Here she is, sooo innocent and completely adorable.

Then the next moment, she turns on you!
Watch out!

The scariness enhanced by Ruckus' editing skills:

Don't mess with this tough chicky.

And now, back to some normal fun:
Lou, Dre, and some random friend they made at the park.

Trying her first mango.

Who doesn't love the swings?

Little C looks pretty serious here, but he and the Baby were having a ball!

Little C - such a good brother. Here he is pushing Moo. Ruckus is on the R not paying me any attention. :(

The Little Red Dock - Roundy/Patton Cabin Camp-out Post #2

At the cabin, there was a picturesque pond with a perfect red dock. Our children used every ounce of daylight the sky had to offer, while their imaginations ran over. This is why we get away. To unplug. So kids can be kids and parents can remember how to be like them.
And also, so when your 13 year old drops the reclining camping chair, belonging to the cabin owners, into the dead center of the deep pond (but you're unaware of it until the owners call) you can "encourage" him, for a looonngg time, to retrieve it -but it won't actually be successful until Aunt Shannon gets involved. :)
Head to the bottom of the post to see what the men were doing while we enjoyed nature.
I'm to sexy for my cat!

Getting ready!

But First - A Cabin Getaway with the Roundy's! Post #1

Being plan-less. That is a desirable vacation to the Patton's. Ideas? Are welcome. Agenda? No way. Partnered with the Roundy family? Happiness. So, let's visit, play cards, and watch bats attack the moth colony outside the the screen door.

The Beloved, the Baby, and Jason.

Watching the bats.

Love that smile.

Let me take a picture of your selfie.
