My dear spouse doesn't dig parties. His one birthday wish was to do nothing. He's a fun one. :)
I promised him I wouldn't invite anyone over for his birthday dinner or evening festivities but....
I didn't promise that I wouldn't invite my parents and the Vallecillos Clan to dine with us for lunch when I called him the last minute and asked if he wanted to join us at DQ. Sorry Pal. We love you. People want to celebrate your existence. Jordon and Amy stopped by after dinner to shout out their love and appreciation for this great guy. He's a keeper, even if he doesn't like being the center of attention on his day of birth. Maybe he's turning into a Viking. No, not really - that was just a bad segue into the gift he received- a "bracelet" (though I'm sure that's not what I'm supposed to call it) like Ragnar's from the show Vikings.
We love you Dog!
Next year I'll try to comply better to your birthday wishes.
It's just soooo hard......
