And They're Off!

Ruckus sharing his All About Me Presentation
I love summer - zero schedule nor agenda.
My heart screams freedom!
I'm torn between needing school to begin and dreading it.
After three months of flying by the seat of our pants a little structure is in demand - school makes me jump into gear -
but my kiddos being gone for eight hours a day  - that's huge.
I miss them, worry about the negatives influences being thrown in their faces - and shout for joy at having a bit of freedom as well.
Plus, my kids L.O.V.E. school.
For different aspects maybe - but love nonetheless.
So for now - these are my random thoughts that I share.

Little C is digging being in middle school and having more than one teacher. But for real, Middle School! How did my baby get so big?
Lou is as focused as ever and is pouring his heart and soul into the first grade.
When I picked them up from school Lou quickly informed me that Ruckus had gotten into trouble for talking during class.
I said something like -

Well, I'm sure as soon as his teacher asked him to stop, he stopped. Did she have to ask you more than once Ruckus?-
Ummm.... he responded. Kind of - More like this many (as he slowly lifts every finger up from his hand). :)

Shoot dog.
So we talked about being respectful and saving our conversations for recess and breaks.
Gosh - but how I remember the desire to be chatty so well. Sometimes I felt like I would burst if I couldn't just slip out a word or two to my neighbor. :) I empathize.

Oh, how I love my sweet boys.
I wish them every success this school year.
