Dear Dish Network,
I messed up and took you for granted. Two weeks ago when the reps from Directv showed up at my door I should have just been loyal, said no thank you, and turned them away. But sadly, I was suckered in by their Internet/satellite package that would save us $60 a month.
I miss your perfect little remote that is so user friendly. I miss how simplistic the DVR options are and how all of my shows were never accidentally skipped over due to bad reception. (Yes, our Directv DVR messed up recording the first episode of American Idol. AMERICAN IDOL! Plus, Last Man Standing... and the list goes on.)
I miss how I could record things from TV1 and TV2 but now I have one DVR box downstairs that they claim can record two shows at a time while watching another but ... I don't watch TV downstairs. I watch it after the children are snug in their beds. I've clocked out. I'm ready for my shows, whilst sipping a refreshing Pepsi and biting into a carb filled roll of love.
I hate how I can't pause live TV and how their "skip" button on the remote is really just another way to fast forward. It's not skipping if you can see a line at the bottom of the screen showing your forwarding progress, that's a slide. Maybe they should call it the "slide" button. I appreciate honesty.
I've learned my lesson and I'll remember you dear friend.
Best Regards.
See you in two loooonnnng DirecTv enduring years. :(

Oh, I'm so sorry. I love Dish Network and American Idol. I'm glad to know not to be suckered in to the lower rates of Direct TV. Thank you, Friend, for sharing.
