Back Off! Thank you.

So I am that pregnant freak who cannot stand people in her personal space. If anyone gets too close it is like their body heat is in competition with mine and I can feel the sweat beads beginning to form. My face becomes blood red and I believe the words "BEAT IT" actually begins to appear on my forehead. Oh... and then if they touch my belly... for the love people!... if I don't want strangers touching my baby - safely assume that I do not want you touching my belly. Parents teach your children that it is simply impolite to reach out and rub the bump - especially if you know they are abnormally fragrant - Stinky kids invading my bubble leads to an out of body experience, where nice domestic goddess in training is replaced by someone entirely different. One poor neighbor girl met this other creature today as I knocked her hand away and said - Do not touch my stomach! I couldn't even apologize - I felt so victorious knowing that this crime would never again be committed by this little juvenile. - Isn't that horrible? It is - and I know I will feel ashamed... later... I'm sure.
In the defense of all of you space invaders - I know that all pregnant women are different. I have a sister who loved, loved, loved having her belly molested - and wanted to show me the bare thing on a daily basis. She viewed it as beautiful -and more power to ya sister! But... rest assured mine is not beautiful - this is the third time my pasty white skin has been stretched to the max and on top of that - my herniated belly button isn't helping me win any beauty pageants.
So... that's it I guess... sorry for the beating.

I too became a horrible monster if people even looked like they wanted to rub my belly. I know this is bad, but...good for you on smacking that hand away.

I HATED all the comments I got. People would always tell me how small I was....while they were supposedly complimenting me it drove me CRAZY!!! I hate the attention of a preg. woman!

Don't you love your little guy in his diaper? I love to take Breck's clothes off (diaper too) and then follow him into the b-room for a bath. His little naked body is so stinkin cute!

Oh how I miss you Cammy! You make me laugh so much. Your post was hilarious. Don't feel bad about liking your space. I don't think most people even think about your feeling when they go in for the belly rub.

Well, being the sister of yours that was spoken of I must say that I don't blame you for reacting the way you did. At least for me it is one thing to be excited and share that with your loved ones even if it repulses them. It is quite another to have strangers and stinky kids trying to invade the creative space of baby in progress. I believe most women feel the same as you. YOU GO GIRL!!!
